CHINA BHATI OF RYAN GREATER NOIDA BAGS A SILVER AT US OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP

China Bhati of Ryan International School, Greater Noida came out with flying colours and enthralled everyone by becoming the first India to win a “silver Medal at the 26th US Open Taekwondo Championship organized by World Taekwondo Federation at Las Vegas from 31 January to 3rd February 2017.

Around 4250 Participants from around 167 countries participated in this world renowned event to showcase their talent and to prove their mettle. China Bhati entered the finals in 61 kg weight category after successfully defeating the participats of Canada, South Korea and Pakistan in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd fight respectively. She gave a tough fight to her opponent in the final fight ( a US Olympic player) but had to satisfy herself with a silver.

It was a moment of immense pleasure and pride for everyone at Ryan Greater Noida when China Bhati received her award at a flittering ceremony. She was given a very warm welcome and was congratulated by the school Principal Ms. Sudha Singh for her exemplary performance.

China Bhati, a student of class XII is all set to appear for her Board examination in March -2017. She also stands a chance of selection in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics because of this Grand Win. We wish her all the luck !
