GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida, organized an Entrepreneur Talk Series on “Women Entrepreneurship-Opportunities & Challenges” on October 26. This initiative was taken under the leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.
Dr. Makkar shared that the objective of the session was to reinforce the institute’s vision to shape young minds as not just successful professionals but as nation builders of tomorrow. She also briefed the students about the struggles and sacrifices made by women entrepreneurs in India, the problems they faced and how one can take the country ahead with determination.
The guest speakers of the session included Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, Founder & CEO, Ssrishti Foundation, Ms. Smriti Bhatia, Founder, Chocohouse- Zero Resistance and Ms. Sangita Khosla, Director, Space Age Security Solutions & Om Nanotech who addressed the students about the indispensable role of the women entrepreneurship and economic participation in enabling the country’s growth and prosperity. They also shared the initiative Government of India has ensured about all policy initiatives geared towards enabling equal opportunity for women. The guest speakers encouraged the young budding professionals to recognize the spark within them and make efforts to change the radical attitudes and mindsets of society.
