The Noida International Airport project in Jewar has now entered a new phase with the arrival of construction equipment on the site over the weekend, and beginning of clearing and grubbing activities on Monday morning.
The master plan of Noida International Airport, presented by NIAL, was recently approved by the Uttar Pradesh government, after which the YEIDA gave permission to start construction at the project site.
PM Narendra Modi is now likely to lay the foundation stone of the airport soon, according to state government officials.
