Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India through MSME-DI organized an Awareness Programme on Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of SMEs Through Incubators on31st January 2017 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.Prof. TPN Singh (Advisor – R&D, DGI) welcomed the dignitaries and thanked them for their visit to expose the students towards innovation and creativity. Dr. S. K. Bagga (Director-DGI) rendered a brief on MSME and exhorted the students to become entrepreneur of sorts.Mr. Sujit Banerjee, Director-DST, explained the role of DST and MSME. He stressed on innovation and the process of incubation leading to entrepreneurship. Example of Mr. Shivam Dixit, entrepreneur was given. He described innovation as research – development – production – adoption – discovery – patenting – marketing.Mr. A. K. Jha, Asst. Director – MSME, described efforts of MSME towards entrepreneurship development. He explained the concept of micro, small and medium enterprise. He said that the objective of business incubator (BI) is to remove obstacles and provide freedom for nurturing creative ideas of young minds. He dwelt upon hand holding ideas proposed strategies.Mr. Shubam Dixit, Co-founder & Director, Atrim Electronics Pvt. Ltd, described his journey from student days to being an entrepreneur. He started developing websites for companies from second year engineering onwards. His major breakthrough came on receiving contract from Mother Diary for installation of GPS trackers on vehicles. He gainfully took assistance from MSME for funding his company. His company operates in USA, China and South America. He stated that knowledge is not power till it is applied. One should start with small problems and become big subsequently.The meeting came to an end with distribution of certificates and Vote of Thanks rendered by Prof. TPN Singh.
