Greater Noida, 15th October, 2022: According to a Greater Noida Authority notice, water bills for Greater Noida will be sent via SMS and they can make payment through same forum.

CEO Ritu Maheshwari directed that water bills will be sent to allottees’ mobile numbers, in addition to a payment link through which they can pay their water bill after entering their allotment number.

The Gangajal project envisions drawing 85 cusecs of water from the Upper Ganga canal for Greater Noida. Maheshwari also gave orders to prepare for the arrival of Ganga water from Haridwar following the cleaning of the Ganga canal, in order to begin water supply to first phase sectors as soon as possible.

The payment will be linked to the ‘Mitra’ app, that further includes bill and arrears payment options. A proposal to collaborate with Paytm for bill payment was also approved. This step will benefit approximately 35,000 customers. Currently, the bills can only be accessed through the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority’s (GNIDA) website.

For those allottees who have not completed the certification, a non-KYA allottee online payment option will be made available. The CEO also directed officials to begin work immediately to supply water to sectors and villages that are currently without it.
