Greater Noida, (11/02/2022): Department of Computer Science and Engineering of I.T.S Engineering College, one of the Premier Institution in the field of Engineering and Management Education is organizing a IEEE International Conference on Computer and Computational Sciences (ICCCS’22) on February 11-12, 2022.
The ICCCS-2022 is a major multidisciplinary conference organized with the objective of bringing together researchers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working in all areas of computer and communication technology.
For the conference we have received around 250 papers from India and abroad (from countries like Italy, Malaysia, etc). The papers were subjected to relative plagiarism test using plagiarism testing software and 70 papers were selected. Out of the selected papers, 21 were registered for presentation.
In the conference, we have invited guests Dr. Kok Sheik Wong, Monash University, Malaysia and Mr. Bohitesh Misra, Co-Founder and CTO of Avexa Systems Pvt Ltd as Keynote speakers for inaugural session.
The program started with Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome speech by Dr. Vasudha Arora, Organizing Secretary of the Conference. This was followed by addressing by Prof (Dr.) Mayank Garg, Director and General Chair, ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida who emphasized on the importance of research and development in latest fields including Data Science, AI and ML.
Then Prof (Dr.) Ashish Kumar, Conference Chair and HOD-CSE, ITS Engineering College welcomed and thanked various eminent academicians and company representatives for sparing their valuable time from their busy schedule.
The conference started with a speech by Honorable guest Prof. Kok Sheik Wong who is one of the renowned Professor in the School of Information Technology, Monash University, Malaysia. Prof. Wong is Associate Head of School (Research) and has research interests include multimedia signal processing, data hiding, perceptual encryption, joint encryption and data-hiding method, data hiding in untraditional content as well as their applications. Dr. Wong served as a General Co-Chair of APSIPA ASC 2017. He currently serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Journal of Information Security and Applications (JISA), as well as Signal. He is a senior member of IEEE, where he serves as an executive committee member of IEEE Signal Processing Society Malaysia Chapter. He is also a member of APSIPA, where he currently serves as a member-at-large. In 2019, he received the best paper award at the 18th International Workshop on Digital forensics and Watermarking (IWDW 2019) for his work in data hiding in PDF. He also received the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia Outstanding Reviewer Award 2020.
He talked at large about Data Hiding starting with need of data hiding. Then he elaborated on steganography and Watermarking techniques taking various examples followed by discussion of quality retention.
Bohitesh Misra who is Co-Founder and currently CTO with Avexa Systems Pvt Ltd has worked with various MNCs like Digital Globalsoft, Compaq Computer Corporation, USA, Simpa Networks,, Motherson Sumi INfotech& Designs Ltd and Indian Railways. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, USA since 2002 till 2015 and currently active member of CIOs of India, Infosec Foundation of India. He provides thought leadership on all technology oriented business areas in Internet of Things, Business Intelligence, Mobility, Cloud and business apps. Expertise in Data Science for Business Analytics techniques in sales, marketing, customer and risk management using SPSS, R, Python and techniques like Factor Analysis, Correlation, Logistic Regression, Clustering, Random Forest, Machine Learning. He has received various awards including Star CIO of the Year” 2019 organized by Enterprise IT World at CIO500 event, Smart Innovator Award 2019, Eminent CIOs of India 2019, Cyber Sentinel award and #CIO200 change agent 2018, Enterprise IT World CIO1000 APAC Award for the year 2021.
He talked at large about Data Science, AI and IoT starting with the need of data Analytics. Then he elaborated on generation of big data, its types and Data Mining. This was followed by detailed discussion on applications of Machine learning and clustering algorithms taking example from medical field and discussing various other use cases.
Finally, the Conference Chair, Dr. Ashish Kumar thanked and acknowledged Prof (Dr.) Mayank Garg, Director and General Chair, ITS Engineering College, keynote speakers Prof. Kok Sheik Wong, Mr. Bohitesh Misra, faculty members of CSE Department and various student volunteers for putting in their hard work towards the grand success of the inaugural Conference session.
