I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida celebrated its fresher’s party Roo-Ba-Roo 2K21 on 17th December, 2021. The annual freshmen social was organised by the cultural wing of the institute to usher the freshmen of B. Tech and MBA First Year. This year the theme of the event was based on Halloween.
The event that was celebrated almost after two years due to the pandemic started on a very auspicious note with the ceremonious lamp lighting ritual followed by Saraswati Vandana by second year students. The event was attended by the dignitaries that include Dr. Mayank Garg, Director – I.T.S Engineering College, Dr. Sanjay Yadav – Dean Students Welfare and respective Heads of Applied Science and Management Departments.
In his short yet sweet speech, Dr. Mayank Garg highlighted the importance of such an event to reinforce the bonding between juniors and seniors. His speech was also a source of motivation to many a student who were very much energized, encouraged and enlightened.
Although the Vice Chairman of the Group – Sohil Chadha could not make it to the event, he extended his best wishes to all the new comers and congratulated the participants for their outstanding performances.
The ecstatic tone of the event was set by a spectacular ramp walk by the first year students who had competed fiercely to win the coveted title of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2k21. This round was the major highlight of Roo-Ba-Roo which received the maximum number of cheers from students and teachers alike. In the talent round of Mr. & Ms. Fresher’s competition, participants had to perform on solo dance, solo singing, poetry recitations and speech to exhibit their best talents in these vivid categories. The proud winners of Mr. and Ms. Fresher B.Tech 2K21 were Nikhil Maurya amd Niharika Shivhare while the Mr. and Ms. freshers for MBA 2k21 were bagged by Shresth Sharma and Sabiha respectively who were declared winners of the event after a thorough and careful judgment by the jury members.
Other notable performances include beat boxing performance, high octane group song, solo dances and plethora of other cultural performances. These activities had metaphorically put the auditorium stage on fire and left the audience asking for more.
Overall, Roo-Ba-Roo 2K21 was an event to look forward to with a lot of euphoric actions, jubilant performances and over the moon memory.
