Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized ADIEU 2018, a Farewell to the 2014-18 Batch of CSE, CSIT and IT branch students on 8th May, 2018.
The event started with the welcome speech by Hon’ble Director, Prof.(Dr.)Ashish Soti. Dr. Soti said that as the students leave the college, he expects that some challenges await them, which of course, he strongly believed, going by the students’ antecedents and the manner they had conducted themselves over the years and the skills and knowledge they have acquired, they will surely overcome them. “On behalf of the college, I bid you farewell and wish you best of luck in your days ahead. May God bless you all”, said Dr.Soti.
Prof.B.L.Kaul, Registrar, in his speech said that he believed that the outgoing students will be the true ambassadors of the college and never allow selfish interest to blemish the integrity they have nurtured over the years during their stay in the college.
HOD, Dept. of Computer Science,Prof.Shanthi Makka advised the outgoing students to be kind and good to people they meet on their way up in professional life. Wishing the students a very bright future, she asked them to think big and be optimistic in whatever they choose to do.
The event was made a little lighter after the emotional speeches with some song and dance events. There were multiple rounds for choosingMr.and Ms. Farewell-2018. Based on ramp walk, talent show, and the questionnaire round, Tanya Gupta andChandan Sabharwal was selected as Ms. Farewell-2018 and Mr. Farewell-2018 respectively.
The event ended with the ceremonial Cake Cutting and wishes to the outgoing students for their successful life ahead from all Department Heads and faculty members.
