I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida celebrated the World Health Day on April 07th which is marked as birthday of WHO, whose constitution was enacted in April 7, 1948, to affirm its mission as the "directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system."
The event was inaugurated by Invited Guests – Dr. Amrita Puri and Prof. Vishal Singh from I.T.S Dental College, Hospital & Research Centre, Greater Noida & honorable dignitaries of host institution- Prof. Vikas Singh- Executive Director, Dr. Gagan Deep Arora- Dean: Academics & Administration; Dr. Sanjay Yadav- Dean Student’s Welfare, and Prof. O. P. Chaudhary, HOD, Applied Sceince & Humanities.
Emphasizing on various preventive measures, Prof. Vishal Singh has said,"If we can ensure that people are living healthier, the opportunities will be greater and the costs to society less,". In this context, Prof. Puri has urged the audiences to follow a regimen for oral health too and to go for regular check ups.
Executive Director, Prof. Vikas Singh highlighted the importance of health in our life by quoting real life instances. He made the audience aware of the benefits of remaining healthy and fit. The Vice Chairman of I.T.S – The Education Group, Mr. Sohil Chadha, has always been supportive of such issues. The group also conducts various CSR activities round the year in this regard.
