I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida celebrated its fresher’s party ‘Roo-Ba-Roo’ on 10 October, 2024. The program was organized by the cultural wing of the institute for students of B. Tech and MBA first year. The venue for the program was Sardar Patel Auditorium that was filled with energy and excitement due to heavy footfall of freshers.
The event was started by lighting the lamp of knowledge before Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of learning and chanting Saraswati Vandana to dispel the gloom of darkness and ignorance. The event was attended by the dignitaries that include honorable Dr. Mayank Garg, Director -I.T.S Engineering College, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean Students Welfare, all HODs and faculty members of ITS Engineering College Greater Noida.
In his short speech, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean Students Welfare welcomed new comer students and highlighted the importance of such event to reinforce the bonding between juniors and seniors. His speech was also a source of motivation to several students who were very much energized, encouraged and enlightened. Although the Vice Chairman of the Group – Shri Sohil Chadha could not make it to the event, he extended his best wishes to all the new comers and congratulated the participants for their outstanding performances.
The ecstatic tone of the event was set by a spectacular ramp walk by the first year students who had competed fiercely to win the coveted title of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2024. This round was the major highlight of Roo-Ba-Roo which received the maximum number of cheers from students and teachers alike. In the talent round of Mr. and Ms. Fresher’s competition, participants had to perform on solo dance, solo singing, poetry recitations and speech to exhibit their best talents in these vivid categories. The theme of Roo-Ba-Roo Freshers Party 2024 was “Iconic Characters and Personality” The way students present various Iconic Characters and Personality was tremendous. The proud winners of Mr. and Ms. fresher 2024 were Priyanshu Kumar and Janhvi Doval from B.Tech and Vasu and Khushi from MBA, the Mr. and Ms. Talent 2024 were Kartik and Divyanshi who were declared winners of event after the judgment of jury members. Other notable performances include high octane group song, solo dances and plethora of other cultural performances. These activities had metaphorically put the Roo-Ba-Roo 2024 stage on fire and left the audience asking for more.
Overall, Roo-Ba-Roo 2024 was an event to look forward to with a lot of euphoric actions, jubilant performances and over the moon memory.
