ITS Engineering College Welcomes B. Tech Freshers with Orientation Program

Greater Noida, India – September 28, 2024 – The Department of Applied Science & Humanities at I.T.S Engineering College welcomed its B. Tech first-year students with great enthusiasm during an interactive orientation program held on September 28, 2024. The event, held at the Sardar Patel Auditorium on campus, attracted a large number of participants who enjoyed a diverse range of activities that spanned academics, literature, and cultural expressions.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the esteemed presence of key figures, including Prof. (Dr.) Deepa Singh, R. P. Chaddha, Chairman of I.T.S Engineering College, Dr. Surinder Sood, a member of the Governing Body and Advisory Council of I.T.S – The Education Group, Dr. Mayank Garg, Director, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean of Students Welfare, and Dr. O. P. Chaudhary, HOD of Applied Science and Humanities, alongside the entire faculty of the department. Prof. (Dr.) Singh imparted her wisdom to the freshers, who maintained a respectful silence throughout her address.

The program’s first phase featured Dr. Kavindra Kumar Singh, CTO of SMC Group, as the chief guest, who captivated the audience with his valuable insights. Following him, guest of honor Mr. Ankit Gaur, a distinguished alumnus and Head of Business Development at TERMA GROUP, shared his journey to success and offered advice on academic strategies. The session continued with Mr. Nitin Mittal, Assistant General Manager-HR at SHYAM SPECTRA, who inspired students with his experiences and success stories. The involvement of both students and faculty was instrumental in making this auspicious event a success.

In the second half of the day, professors conducted presentations that provided further guidance to the freshers. Dr. Sanjay Yadav emphasized the significance of discipline in academic and personal success. Dr. O. P. Chaudhary followed suit, explaining the importance of studies and the skills necessary for securing future employment. Dr. Deepa Singh also addressed the relevance of the Women’s Cell at the college, encouraging students to seek support for any issues they may face.

Mr. Agha Hussain rounded off the presentations by introducing students to the sports activities planned for the campus, promoting the importance of physical fitness.

As the orientation program concluded, the sense of community and support among faculty and students was palpable. The college hopes that all newcomers will apply the values shared during the event and strive for success in their academic endeavors.
