Greater Noida: CSE Department of I.T.S Engineering College, one of the Premier Institution in the field of Engineering and Management Education organized a Hackathon named “Code-O-Fiesta 2.0” on 1st December in association with Computer Society of India, Student Branch at I.T.S. Engineering College, Greater Noida.
The opening of program was made by welcome speech by Manik Chandra Pandey Assistant Professor, CSE department who briefed about the panel of Judges Dr. Sunil Kumar Mishra from AIMT, Greater Noida, Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Shukla from GNIOT, Dr. Abhishek Singh Verma from Sharda University and Dr. Rohit Kumar Sachan from Bennett University, Greater Noida. The guests were welcomed with the bouquet presentation by Dr. Mayank Garg, Director, ITSEC, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dean Student Welfare, ITSEC and Dr. Ashish Kumar, Head of Department of CSE, ITSEC.
The dignitaries motivated and encouraged the students to participate in such events by telling them about the current market scenario and said that participation in such technical competitive events enhance their ability and creativity skills to develop things instantaneously after which Co-coordinator of the event, Ghanshyam Yadav and Bhupendra Kumar told the rules and guidelines to be followed for the competition. In the event, total 108 teams from various reputed Colleges and Universities registered their names for participation in 1st round of which 46 teams were shortlisted for the next round.
Panel of Judges evaluated the Skills and work of participant teams and selected team C.O.D.E from G.L. Bajaj for 1st position, team Code Craft from Galgotia College and Digiware from ITS Engineering College for 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. This was followed by prize distribution to the winners teams and participation certificates to other participants by Dr. Ashish Kumar, HOD-CSE. The NextTech Community of students coordinated the Hackathon.
Finally, Dr. Ashish Kumar gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the department for extending their support and cooperation, the coordinators (Manik Chandra Pandey, Ghanshyam Yadav and Bhupendra Kumar), NextTech Community members, student volunteers, participants, Director sir (Dr. Mayank Garg), DSW sir (Dr. Sanjay Yadav), Heads of various departments, IT Staff and other staff members who helped to successfully organize the event.
