Computer Science & Engineering Department of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a one day workshop on 12th June on “Cyber Security”. The speaker of the event was Himanshu Papne who is certified Cyber Security expert and trainer at the NIIT foundation and expert in various technologies including Python, penetration testing and networking and have conducted various training programs and workshops.
The opening of program on 1st day of workshop was made by welcoming Himanshu Papne by Dr. Ashish Kumar, HOD-CSE, ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida. The expert started his talk with a briefing about CISCO Networking Academy followed by detailed discussion about basic concepts of Cyber Security and various types of attacks & malwares including phishing, virus, worm, Trojan horse etc. Himanshu discussed about various underlying principles of hacking and precautions that are a must to prevent hacking and secure your system and mobile devices. This was followed by a practical demonstration of hacking using Kali Linux.
Himanshu told about various certifications and IT skills students should possess to get Jobs in Cyber Security domain and emphasized on the need of learning various recent tools according to the need of industry.
The Workshop concluded with question and answer session. The workshop was highly interactive and the students got a deep insight into implementation of security related concepts. The workshop was attended by more than 150 students from 2nd year of CSE department.
