The School of Management Studies (SOMS) in association with the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities (ASH), ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida, organized a 4-day Faculty & Staff Development Program (FSDP) on “Enhancing Professional Communication Skills” from 24th July, 2023 to 27th July, 2023. The resource persons for this FSDP were Mr. Alok Kumar – Training Consultant at the Making Life Interesting Foundation and Dr. Ravi Sharan Prasad – Senior HR Consultant.
The four day collaborative event was moderated by Prof. Abhishek Rai and Prof. Sana Vakeel while the welcome address and vote of thanks were presented by the Head, SOMS Prof. (Dr.) Akhilesh Mishra.
All the four sessions were highly instrumental that helped the participants to self assess their level of communication skills. The programme was aimed at practically giving exposure to every attendee to the concepts of body language, emotional intelligence and public speaking skills. The participants got to know the nuances of gestures, postures, and vocal tones that one should adopt while communicating professionally. Besides these, they also became familiar with the sound tips to become an effective public speaker. By and large, this FSDP turned out to be of paramount importance to every participant who desired to upgrade their professional communication skills.
