Greater Noida, Nov 22, 2022: On November 19th, Fr. Agnel School in Greater Noida celebrated its Annual Day event at Satrang Auditorium.
The theme of the event was “Naaz-E-Hind” as an homage to the glorious patriots who led the freedom struggle for our country.
Dr Dharamveer Singh, DIOS of Gautam Buddh Nagar, was the Chief Guest of the event.
Principal Rev. Sr. Pramila Vats and Manager Rev. Fr. Bento Rodrigues presided over the event.
Following a brief prayer and felicitation programme, the Chief Guest addressed the everyone in attendance. In his address, he said, “This kind of event spreads awareness regarding India’s freedom movement and our freedom fighters. India has come a far way since its independence, even the current leader (Prime Minister) of the UK is a man of Indian origin.”
He also thanked the gathering for their contribution towards the advancement of Greater Noida. Addressing the children of Fr. Agnel School, Mr. Singh said, “As you grow up to become citizens of India, it is your responsibility to honor the significant lessons imparted by your school…I hope you will bring the vision of your school into fruition in the future.”
During the event, the children of the school participated in various singing performances, dance performances and skits honoring Indian patriots. As the event drew to an end, a young performer reiterated former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s “A Tryst with Destiny” speech delivered on August 15, 1947.
