The Department of Applied Science & Humanities, under the aegis of I.T.S Engineering College, organized their 17th Orientation Program for B. Tech first year students respectively with great verve. The program that took place from 19th September to 23rd September, 2022 had a plethora of events ranging from academics to literary and cultural. The venue for the program was Sardar Patel Auditorium that was filled with energy and excitement due to a heavy footfall of freshers.
The first phase of the program started with tilak rituals of 1st year students by their seniors that were later followed by a formal registration of them in the form of distribution of academic kits and allotment of sections. The formal tone was set in once the Chief Guest for the event, Harsh Raj Jain, H R Manager, Ebix Software India Pvt Ltd arrived. The event literally started by lighting the lamp of
knowledge before Ma Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning and chanting Saraswati Vandana to dispel the gloom of darkness and ignorance. The Chief Guest shared his pearls of wisdom with the new members of the I.T.S Parivaar and it was very apparent from the beaming faces of the young crowd that they enjoyed such an intellectual deliberation from Harsh Raj Jain sir. The Director of I.T.S – The Education Group, Prof. Dr. Mayank Garg also took opportunity to interact with the energetic group of audience. It was another highlight of the event.
The post-lunch session was wrapped up by a series of informative talks by some noteworthy speakers of the session including Prof. Dr. Mayank Garg, Director, I.T.S-The Education Group, respected Guest of Honour Rajat Sikka sir, Head of Academic Relations North India TCS and vote of thanks and the most important part of the day – National Anthem.
Post lunch session had an open house session with Prof. Dr. O.P Chaudhary which was an ice breaking session with the fresh batch of students. Dr. O. P Chaudhary acquainted them with the challenges of the real world and welcomed them warmly to the new world of Engineering. The first day of the Orientation Program ended on a fruitful note with an interesting session on Psychometric analysis by the
audience dispersed from the auditorium for touring the college campus with their respective friends.
