Birla Institute of management technology (BIMTECH), along with The School of Public Policy, George Mason University, Arlington, Virginia (USA), hosted the 5th International Conference on Management Cases (ICMC 2016), a premiere conference on case studies in India, at the BIMTECH Greater Noida campus on the 1st and 2nd of December.

> ICMC 2016 provided a platform for stimulating original and unpublished, research cases in various facets of management aimed at international relevance and saw many participants, including faculty, students, research scholars etc., from over 50 countries, including India, U.A.E, Japan and Finland to name some. It is one of the oldest running conference on case studies in Asia.

> The first day witnessed the inaugural session of the conference with the keynote speaker, Dr. Nick van Dam, Partner, Client Advisor and Global Chief Learning Officer of McKinsey & Company, Professor of Management at Nyenrode Business University, Amsterdam. He shared his thoughts on the theme "Innovations in Learning & Development : Learning at the Speed of Business". It was indeed a very knowledgeable speech giving a deep insight into learning and leadership development. Inauguration Ceremony started with the welcoming of all the delegates followed by the Lighting of Lamp.

> Mr Trevor Williamson is a Principal Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, UK, interacted with the audience about “Case development to encourage transformational learning” and emphasized the importance of creativity , imagination and self analysis in using the case study method of teaching.

> The two days of ICMC 2016 came out to be a huge success. It saw the discussions taken on to 66 cases onto various themes from all the domains of the business world. The event was concluded by a warm and formal vote of thanks by Prof Tojo Thatchenkery of George Mason University.
