‘Our Little Explorers’ – Annual Production by Nursery & Prep, DPS Greater Noida.

The tiny tots of Classes Nursery and Prep of DPS Greater Noida celebrated their Annual Day, ‘Our Little Explorers’ on February 29, 2020.The bubbly young children, clad in colourful costumes and brimming with innocence, spread happiness all around as they tried their hands at singing, dancing and acting with poise.

Welcoming the dignitaries and the parent community on the occasion, the Principal  Ms. Renu Chaturvedi expressed her delight on seeing the energetic performances of the cherubic children, who mean the world to their parents at home and their second parents at school. She called upon the parents to extend constructive support to the faculty and school management to help them bring out the best in their children.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a well coordinated fusion of invocation songs and a foot tapping dance to the beat of timeless nursery rhymes. The major highlight of the programme was an amazing dance and drama ‘Our Little Explorers’ that took the amused spectators on a flight to some of the most exotic places in the world, even as the sprightly performers rocked the stage, dancing to popular French, Spanish, Japanese and German songs and also exploring interesting facts about the places they visited, before driving home the proud conclusion, ‘East or West, India is the Best’.

Complimenting the entire team behind the magnificent presentation, the Chief Guest,      Prof. B P Khandelwal esteemed Member, The DPS Society and former Chairman & serving Member, SMC, DPS Greater Noida as the Chief Guest expressed hope that the opportunities to participate in such big events will go a long way in instilling in the children good values. In her address, Ms. Vrinda Sarup, IAS (Retd.) former Secretary from the Dept. of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of HRD and the Dept. of Food and Public distribution and now the Chairperson of the school urged the parent fraternity to infuse in their young ones, love for reading books and care for nature, two qualities that will keep them in good stead in the long run.

Brigadier Jaideep Suri, Advisor-Security and Consultant-Movement Logistics, The DPS Society, Prof. A. K. Sharma, Consultant (Civil), The DPS Society, Members of the Parent Forum of the school and proud parents of the nearly 500 students from Classes Nursery and Prep also attended the event. The Vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Shalini Jain, Block        In-charge, Junior wing, followed by the National anthem.
