Greater Noida: I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies & Research, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad organized an Orientation program on 1st May, to welcome the 14th Batch of MDS students for the session of 2019-2022. The main aim of I.T.S Dental College, Murad Nagar, while starting its college in the year 2000 was to contribute capable dentists to the dental community and to help eliminate diseases and thereby help the community to be disease free. We also aim to develop a healthy society for which the college organizes free camps and satellite clinics to help treat people living in the most remote areas.
I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies and research which made its humble beginning a decade ago was the brainwave of our dynamic Chairman, Dr RP Chadha, a visionary, who started a chain of I.T.S Dental Colleges to cater to the students aspiring to take up professional courses and producing several luminaries in various fields.
The orientation program was commenced with a welcome speech by Surinder Sood, Director- Public Relations, I.T.S-The Education Group, where he introduced the students to the past traditions of I.T.S that have been the building blocks of the college from the year 1995. He greeted all the new entrants and their parents and congratulated them for becoming a part of this institution. He also introduced the Chief guest who graced the occasion. This was followed by the lamp lighting ceremony by all the dignitaries.
The gathering was also addressed by Shri Arpit Chadha, Vice-Chairman I.T.S – The Education Group. He congratulated and motivated the students to excel in their dental field with incorporation of world class clinical skills & research in their practice. He also emphasised that dental practice is a noble profession and recommended prospective dental surgeons to always follow righteous path in their clinical practice. He also ensured safe and secure environment for the students during their PG program.
Our special guest, Dr. Mridula Goswami, Professor, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, New Delhi shared her life experiences with the students and blessed them for their bright future in the field of dentistry. She shared with them that dentistry today is not only about treating the disease at hand but also about being up to date with the esthetic needs of the patient.
The orientation was graced by the chief guest, Mr. Arunendra Kumar, Former Chairman, Railway Board, Indian Railways and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary to Government of India who encouraged the students to face the bigger world of dentistry with courage and devotion to their subject.
The occasion was also graced by Director- PG Studies Dr. Vinod Sachdev and Principal Dr. Devi Charan Shetty.
