I.T.S Centre for Dental Studies and Research was established in the year 2000 by Dr. R.P. Chadha sir (Hon’ble Chairman, I.T.S- The Education Group) and is located on Delhi-Meerut Road, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad. Since its establishment, college is providing health care services for both the rural and urban population. It is one of the premiere institute in the country. The college is currently under its young and dynamic Hon’ble Vice- Chairman, I.T.S The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha sir, who is committed to provide top notch education to all its students and advanced quality treatment to its patients with a mission “In service for a healthy nation”. The institute is extensively involved for the extension activities targeted towards social/ community developments. In the last 5 years, various awards have been given to the institution for such contributions.
The College is well known for excellent academic environment and state of the art infrastructure. The College is NAAC “A” Grade Accredited, offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The Colleges has well established academic and clinical practices and students regularly secure top positions at University. With dentistry revolutionizing at a fast pace, keeping abreast with the global standards is on the top of college list. To match the standards of care followed world over, the college is equipped with state of the art infrastructure and technology which includes CAD-CAM, CBCT, LASER etc.
The institute also keep oral health need records of the community, develops and plans strategies to meet those in needs, deliver oral health services to the needy and the deprived segment of the community through outreach programs. College also operates 7 satellite centres rendering dental services in rural and urban areas with an attempt to provide dental care near their houses to utilize the health services.
On the occassion of International Women’s Day, Chairman of I.T.S -The Education Group, Dr. R.P Chadha sir and Vice Chairman Mr. Arpit Chadha sir expressed their views on cancer awareness and stated how I.T.S., The Educational group, has been always works for the betterment of women and society in general.
The International Women’s Day was celebrated on 8th March 2019, with the theme “Balance for Better”. It is a day when women are recognised for their acheivements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. The day also commemorates the inspiring role of women around the world to secure women’s rights and build more equitable socities. Also, to promote gender diversity at workplace. The dental fraternity of ITS, CDSR were targeted on this day for the “awareness of cancer” and were educated by giving a session of cervix and breast examination (PAP Smear Examination) on patients by Dr. Savera Ahmed, currently working in Dharamshila Cancer and Research Institute, as a consultant, Preventive Oncology.
The following activities were observed for female dental students and dental faculty, Staff and paramedical staff at Kalpana Chawla Auditorium, ITS Dental College, Centre for Dental Studies and research, Muradnagar. Lecture were taken on the topic “Cancer Awareness” by renowned speaker, Dr. Savera Ahmed, consultant, Preventive oncology, Dharamshila Cancer and Research Institute. Breast and Cervix examination (PAP Smear Examination) sessions were held at the Surya Hospital for female dental and paramedical staff of ITS Dental College, Centre for Dental Studies and Research, Muradnagar. All Class III and Class IV workers are invited for Breast and Cervix examination. PAP Smear (microscopic examination of cells) were taken from the uterine cervix. Screening of Cancer were held at the Institute and live demo were given on the patients by Dr. Savera Ahmed, on how to proceed with screening of cervix and breast cancer. Interactive sessions, questions and doubts were cleared by Dr. Savera Ahmed on Cancer awareness, held at the Kalpana Chawla Auditorium.
