Accelerating the momentum of qualitative learning, GLBIMR, Greater Noida under the erudite leadership of Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, organized a Special Session on Consumer Behavior, Under the Expert Talk Series on February 26, 2019 by Dr. Sanjiv Mittal, Professor-Marketing, Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Dr. Makkar welcomed Dr. Sanjiv Mittal and shared that the objective of this session was to apprise the students with the current marketing scenario prevailing in the industry and to help them understand the fundamentals of Consumer Behavior, its scope, its components and its development in the modern era. She also emphasized that adopting the best educational practices, Consumer Behavior has been included as the core subject at the institute to help each student understand its importance in their future jobs.
During the session, Dr. Mittal discussed about Customer Profiling, Consumer Research, Industry Perspectives, Current Trends and Challenges in Consumer Behavior. He further explained how awareness, research and comparison impact purchase and has impacted the consumer’s choices globally. This workshop helped students to learn how consumer behavior is changing with the advent of new customer acquisition channels and how strongly consumer behavior is integrated in organizational business decision making.
