I.T.S Engineering College, Gr. Noida, successfully organized a 12 days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Entrepreneurship Development” from 10 th Dec to 21 st Dec 2018. The program was fully sponsored by DST – NIMAT. The goal of this program was to create an awareness of the need and importance of entrepreneurship and to train teachers with an entrepreneurial and professional mindset so that they may further develop awareness among students about promotional financial and regulating schemes for MSME.
The Valedictory session on the 12 th day of event was started with a welcome address by Dr. Vikas Singh, Executive Director, I.T.S The Education Group in the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr Usha Dixit, Scientist E, NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The Chief Guest highlighted that India is witnessing an upsurge of technology-driven and Knowledge- based enterprise. Whether it is the field of conventional business or any other modern business a sudden spurt in the number of new ventures or start-ups have taken the country by surprise. She also explained that Technology and Innovation are playing a major role in this process business.
After this, a brief feedback session with the participants was conducted to know about their views and perception about entrepreneurship. Dr. S.P Mishra, Advisor, I.T.S Education Group also explained the need for entrepreneurship and highlighted how the entrepreneurial system has evolved in recent times. The program was ended with certificate distribution and a healthy discussion about various career options after graduation so that students can be motivated to take maximum benefit of the growing nation by venturing into internship.
