On Thursday, two men allegedly broke into a 56 year old man’s house after a failed attempt of extortion and shot him.
On Sunday, Police have arrested the two accused from their village in Dadri but their accomplice managed to escape
.
After a tip from an informant about the three criminals, Police team was sent to village Katehra where they nabbed Gurmeet alias Lalu and Satyendra alia Laddu.
Police said that the duo were wanted for a number of crimes across Greater Noida.
Ram Sen Singh, SHO of Dadri police station, said "the accused have been charged under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 505 (intention insult), and 452 (house trespass)".
"Gurmeet has around seven cases registered against him in Greater Noida, including theft, looting, extortion, attempt to mjurder and another under the Gangster Act. Satyendra also has four cases registered against him", he added.
Police has also seized a country-made pistol from the duo.
On Thursday night, the three men entered Sundar Bhati’s house in Dadri area during his son’s wedding and shot him thrice.
Bhati survived and is currently under observation in Dadri.
According to Bhati’s son, "the trio had demanded 5 lakh from my father and after the denial they targeted him".
