"Failure will never overtake me, if my determination to succeed is strong enough". With this determination DGI-MHRD Innovation Club, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated INNOVATION DAY on 15th October 2018 to mark the 87th birth anniversary of Former President of India and the Missile Man Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
After paying floral tributes to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, highlighting his achievements, Prof.(Dr.) Ashish Soti, Director-DGI said that Dr. Kalam received Honorary Doctorates from several global universities. The Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan in 1981 and the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 for his work with ISRO and DRDO and his role as a scientific advisor to the Government. In 1997, Dr. Kalam received India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, for his contribution to the scientific research and modernization of defense technology in India.
A video illustrating the Life and Journey of former President was also played on the occasion. The DGI-MHRD Innovation Club also organized a Technical Quiz Competition to mark the occasion and judge students’ knowledge of Dr.Kalam and his life.

The celebration ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr.Probeer Sahw, Coordinator of DGI-MHRD Innovation Club.
