Holding the horse’s reins in her teeth, flashing the sword with both the hands, the valiant firebrand, the Goddess of war, and the epitome of female bravery in India, Maharani Lakshmi bai. Celebrating this spirit of her Delhi Public School,Gamma II, Greater Noida organised its Annual day based on theme of Life of Rani Laxmi Bai and was aptly named as “Ek Shaurya Gatha” a valor story of Rani Laxmi Bai.
Chief guest for the event was Dr Mahesh Sharma, union minister Government of India. He was welcomed with a bouquet as a token of love. Program started with the traditional light lamping ceremony. There after children performed on number of patriotic song and showcase her sacrifice. Children’s were narrated thrilling story of her , courage, adventure, deathless patriotism and martyrdom.
Speaking at the event Dr. Mahesh Sharma said, ‘It is a pleasure to be back at DPS Gr Noida, Gamma II which is like a family to me. I hope and wish that Rani Laxmi Bai’s life and teachings will inspire and motivate all the students to overcome all odds and never stop struggling against the wrong”.
