It’s a matter of pleasure that Govt of India to extend its footprint in clean energy has come out with the scheme to promote Roof top solar. It’s organisation SECI will be the coordinating agency.
According to SECI scheme of 100 Kw to 500 Kw solar roof top – 30% subsidy is available with Bosch till 30th of December is available. The intended Customer has to invest 70%. The customer can avail also net metering benefit for the project wherein electricity generated in day time is used by customer and excess one is uploaded to grid of local discom and during the evening time the same quantum of electricity is available to be downloaded by customer for its use. The only change is in the form of bidirectional net metering meter.
This subsidy is for non profit organisations/charitable trusts etc.like educational institutions, hospitals etc. it is pertinent to mention that they currently pay almost Rs 9 per kWH whereas with subsidy electricity from roof top solar plant will be available at Rs 4-4.50 per unit thereby saving of almost 50%. When Grid Electricity will be costlier @4-5% per year, solar energy will be a fixed cost. One kW of solar panel generates 1500 unit in a year. Typically over 125 sqft of roof , 1 kW of solar panel can be installed.
Anybody interested can be benefitted. Please let me know.
