CM Yogi Adityanath has few months back ordered to make all roads of state pothole free. In the beginning of this month the district officials concerned with the task submitted a report to the DM declaring the district roads pot hole free as per the norms.
However a simple visit to the ground shows the things pretty different from the claims being made.
Metro works, NGT orders and other technicalities have forbidden the district administration from making repairs at many stretches in the district. However in some cases the potholes seems to have been ignored because of no valid reason.
In a staggering violation of the road condition norms, the main road that connects Village Thapkheda of Dadri Tehsil in Greater Noida is in an extremely poor condition. This main road connects national highway 91 and Greater Noida city while passing through Village Palla.
A resident of the area and social worker Anjesh Sharma says, "The condition of this road is pathetic. While our CM has shown great intensity of concern in making all roads of the state pothole free, this road has completely defied the order. I have also complained it to concerned officials and have also written a letter in this regard to the CM but nothing has been done so far".
