The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Allied Branches, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida conducted a One-week Short Term Course on “Open CV for Image and Video Processing Applications” from 22 – 26 July, 2024in Collaboration with NITTTR, Chandigarh, MoE, Govt. of India to inculcate knowledge and skills in the field of computer vision using OpenCV an Open-Source Computer Vision and Machine Learning Software Library.
A total of 30 Participants attended the STC from various Departments of ITSEC, Greater Noida. (Dr.) Mayank Garg, Director I.T.S Engineering College, Prof (Dr.) Vishnu Sharma, Dean, CSE & Allied Branches and Dr. Ashish Kumar, HoD, CSE motivated the participants to be acquainted with the latest technical skill that will benefit their own research work and help imparting latest technical knowledge to students in the recent scenario of computer vision.
Programming, Object Detection Approaches, Deep Learning Architectures for Object Detection, Home Automation System & Aerial Imagery Analysis, Motion Detection and Tracking Applications, OpenCV for Video Processing, Video Analytics and Feature Engineering were discussed with hands-on session using OpenCV and Python. In addition to this case studies on Home Automation System and Face Detection Application were also highlighted to get an insight to real world problem solving.
The Sessions were delivered by prominent professors and industry experts Prof. Amit Doegar, Dr. Sarbjeet Singh, Prof. Gagandeep, Dr. Jyotsna Devi Bodapati and Dr. Gaurav Kumar.
Dr. Jaya Sinha, Professor, Department of CSE, ITSEC and Prof. Amit NITTTR successfully co-ordinated the entire event. The successful event reflects the department’s commitment to enrich faculties with cutting-edge knowledge in the field of computer science and engineering.
