On 18th April 2024, Greater Noida College’s Placement Cell organized a Guest Lecture on “Building a Career Abroad” for B. Tech students, under the guidance of B.L. Gupta (Chairman, GN Group of Institutes), Prof. (Dr.) Sharad Agarwal (Director General, GN Group of Institutes), and Dr. Harendra Nagar (Director, GNC).
The session aimed to provide insights into professional growth, global perspectives, personal development, and career opportunities in the current market scenario.
The event welcomed Syed Ahad Moin, Business Head of “Upgrad,” as the chief guest. Moin conducted an engaging session on education, personal skill development, and high-salary job prospects abroad. The session concluded with a questionnaire where students interacted with Moin, seeking guidance on future scopes in various fields, including trending technologies and skills.
In terms of studying abroad, gaining admission typically involved researching universities and programs, meeting admission requirements (which could include academic records, standardized test scores like the GRE or GMAT, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose), and submitting an application. “Upgrad” can assist students in this process through guidance on selecting suitable programs, preparing application materials, and providing insights into the application and admission process for foreign universities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Bhoomika Gehlot, highlighting the positive impact on future collaborations between the institution and the industry.
