ITS College organizes Environmental Protection Awareness Campaign

The Department of Applied Science and Humanities organised a significant event on the theme – Environmental Protection Awareness Campaign on 10th October in its campus to raise awareness among people in view of the growing environmental concerns.

The program was attended by eminent speakers – Dr. Sanjay Singh (professor at MMH College, Ghaziabad), Sachidanand Srivastava (Ex DGP, Delhi Police), Dr. Ramavtar (Meerut prant provincial coordinator) in the august presence of Dr. Mayank Garg (Director), Dr. Sanjay Yadav (Dean Students Welfare), Dr. OP Chaudhary (Head, Department of Applied Science and Humanities), Dr. Sunita Shukla (Director Admissions), faculty members and engineering students.

Every chief guest made significant contributions to the event by expressing their concerns about the depleting environmental conditions and offered some realistically simple suggestions to tackle these crucial issues of modern times. In his keynote speech, Sachidanand Srivastava emphasised on the importance of the green planet and its conservation by the people for their sustenance. Prof Dr. Sanjay Singh also expressed his severe concern about the environment issues and encouraged the audience to go for public awareness, public participation and public movement besides implementing the four R – recycle, reuse, reduce and refuse. Dr. Ramavtar had a unique way to interact with the audience. He adopted the story narration technique to make the audience understand why one needs to conserve the environment.
