DPS Greater Noida Empowers Teachers with Enrichment Programme

DPS Greater Noida organised a Summer Teacher Enrichment Programme on 26th, 29th and 30th May, 2023 to provide professional development opportunities to its teaching staff, for enhancing their teaching skills and pedagogical knowledge.

Eminent educationists and subject matter experts of different levels facilitated these sessions, ensuring an enriching and transformative experience for all the participants.

The first part of the programme started with a visit to Kiran Nadar Museum for a Cultural Immersion session on 26th which included a performance of Odyssey Dance for the teachers of classes Nursery to V. This proved to be a great learning opportunity and fulfilling experience for all the participants. On 29th, for the teachers teaching classes III to X, a workshop, ‘Assessment Training Programme’ was conducted by Ms. Mansa Pande, an educational Consultant specialising in ELT,

Pedagogy, Assessment and Life Skills. For the teachers of Nursery to 1, Ms. Swati Kulshreshtha, teacher, DPS, Greater Noida took a session on ‘STEM Integration’ in all subjects dealing with early learners learning difficulties. The next session was conducted by Ms. Sandhaya Awasthi, the Principal, DPS, Greater Noida on ‘Emerging – Teaching Learning Strategies’ for the entire teaching staff. The session was an eye opener and compelled the teachers to contemplate on the need of devising strategies to find relevance in future with respect to increasing dependence on technology in teaching-learning process.

On 30th ‘PEC – Physical Education Cards’ workshop was conducted by Mr. Mukesh Kohli, Founder and Creator of Physical Education Cards for Physical Education Department of the school. This was followed by a Panel Discussion on ‘Conceptualising Strategies for Mainstream Inclusive Classrooms’. The session was efficiently conducted by Dr. Renu Malaviya, Professor, Lady Irwin College, Dr. Anupam Ahuja, Professor, IRD, NCERT, Mr. Kulbhushan Kain, eminent educationist and Dr. Manish Samnani, Occupational Therapist and Director, SOCH. Summer Teacher Enrichment Programme proved be very fruitful and fulfilled its aim of providing valuable insights and strategies to the teaching staff for enhancing their teaching practices and attaining maximum learners’ satisfaction.
