The I.T.S Engineering College Greater Noida organized the “Teacher Felicitation-2017’ ceremony on February 19, 2017 to commend and reward teachers and school heads who demonstrate excellence in the work of an education professional. The faculty members from various reputed senior secondary schools of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Merrut, Bulandshahr etc were nominated for the award based on their contribution in education and community services.The ceremony began with the lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. It was marked by the presence of Dr. R.P.Chadha, Chairman of I.T.S-The Education Group, Chief Guest Prof.S.K.Kak, founder Vice-chancellor of Mahamaya Technical University, Noida, Mr.Surendra Sood, Director-Public Relation, Dr. Vineet Kansal, Director of the Institute and Dr.Sanjay Yadav, Dean Students Welfare. Dr. Vineet Kansal addressed the gathering emphasizing the objective and motivation of the award. He elucidated the contribution of I.T.S–The Education Group in the nation building though education. Mr. Surendra Sood highlighted that this award is the praise and recognition of all the contributions a teacher made in building the society and nation. The chief guest of the program appealed the awardees to ignite the spirit of every Indian with their individual deeds and accomplishments. He urged the need for developing moral values among the students along with modern education. During the felicitation ceremony 257 teachers from various schools received the certificates and mementos as a token of appreciation from the chief guest. The program was concluded with the remark that the teaching awards are by no means aone-time acknowledgement of excellence. As role models the awardees will always have their value and influence on the academic communities through their exceptional academic and community work.
