With the aim of promoting healthy lifestyle Jaypee Hospital, a Multi Super Specialty Hospital at Sector 128 Noida, organized the ‘Noida Grand Marathon’ today in collaboration with other associations. The grand marathon had four categories namely full marathon of 42 kms, half marathon of 21 kms, 10 kms and 5 kms.The race for healthy life saw participation of around 1200 people from Delhi, Noida and greater noida in action. The participants were from big corporates, NGO’s and other organizations. Students too actively became a part of it. The runners started from Jaypee Hospital and ran towards sector 127, Pushta road to sector 135, Pushta road and came back to Jaypee Hospital. This one stretch was of 21 kms. People who participated in 42 km marathon took 2 rounds of the same stretch. The marathon started at 6 in the morning and the runners completed the 42 km stretch by 11 am. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Manoj Luthra, CEO, Jaypee Hospital said, “In the daily hustle and bustle of our busy lives we tend to ignore our health. Having a healthy lifestyle and following a regular exercise regime is what we promote at Jaypee Hospital. Keeping this in mind we decided to be a part of such a grand marathon and a noble cause to spread awareness among people highlighting the importance of healthy lifestyle.”“I am elated to see such huge participation from people of different age groups.
