Greater Noida: Water Crisis intensifies in Panchsheel Greens 2, Police intervenes to stop protest

Greater Noida (05/01/2023): Residents of Panchsheel Greens 2 started the year with problems about their water supply, which also led to a protest against the builder. Nearly 2,200 families locked the society’s main gate.

The protest lasted till Monday, after which police intervened to stop it.

Residents also complained to Greater Noida authority, following which a team came to the society and checked the pump house.

While the water supply has been resumed in 17 towers but 180 villas are still without water.

Dipankar Kumar, a resident of the society
said, “When everyone is celebrating New Year we are battling a water crisis. We knew that it was the maintenance team’s responsibility to fix it, and it is their responsibility to fix it ,we also gave them time till evening but they didn’t do anything. As a result we have no option other than protest so we started a protest against the builder.”

Sandhya Pathak another resident said the villas still do not have water supply. “The water supply interrupts every day. Every day the pipeline breaks and it takes entire day for the maintenance team to repair the pipeline, and on next day the pipeline broke again. Some residents on the WhatsApp group complained about it and the maintenance team promised to solve the issue within a few hours but after some time they stopped responding to messages and calls. Water supply was back on Tuesday noon , and within a few hours the pipeline of the villas broke again,” she added.

Responding to the complaints, the maintenance team manager said that the water tanker facility had been provided to the towers, and they are working on getting the pipeline fixed in the villa section.
