I.T.S Centre for Clinical Excellence (ITSCCE) at I.T.S Dental College, Greater Noida organized a Lecture & Hands-on Workshop CBCT Navigated Dentistry Scope in Implantology & Endodontics on 01 st February 2017 in which more than 100 students and faculty from North India participated. The Guest of Honor was Prof (Dr) Gopa Kumar, Professor & Head and Immediate Past President of IAOMR. Dr Anmol S Kalha (Director PG studies) addressed the august gathering and told that ITSCCE is established with the vision to provide cutting edge education with clinically immersive and evidenced based programs that will transform the professional lives.The programs under this are clinically driven and are centered on a hands on experience on patients. He stressed that ITSCCE will provide extended learning and
clinical support through webinars and online mentoring.Dr.Puneet Ahuja, Principal extended a warm welcome to all the guests and delegates and appreciated the efforts of the organising team for conducting this kind of workshop. He told that the programs under ITSCCCE will be mentored by leaders in the field accredited both nationally and internationally with limited members to provide an
intensive and clinically immersive experience that would take away the skills and knowledge directly to practice and professional lives. Dr Sharad Sahai, Director Consultant DMD Imaging, Gurgaon, delieverd the lecture on application of CBCT Imaging in Endocontics and Implantology. He told about vbasics of CBCT Machine and imaging and also presented various cases of Endodontics in which CBCT has been proved to be benficial in providing best treatment and diagnosis for the
patient.There was a Keynote lecture by Dr Achint Garg, Prof & Head, Dept of Oral & Medicine and Radiology who talked about advancements in 3D imaging in dentistry in which he spoke about airway analysis, TMJ assessment and 3D cephalometry.After the lectures there was handson program conducted by Dr Sharad Sahai in which participants were shown Operation of CBCT machine on patient with the help of live video conferencing. The participants were also told about interpretation and tools of CBC T software.Positive feedback was received by the participants and other faculty members about the workshop. The one day event provided the insight into the functioning of CBCT machine and also its use in endodontics and implantology which will help them in proper diagnosis and treatment of the complex cases in their practice.
