Greater Noida, 10 October 2022: The Father Agnel School, Greater Noida hosted the Inter-religious National Integration Programme on October 9.

Fr. Bento Rodrigues thanked the presence of prominent religious gurus in the celebration of national integration. “Let us take something from today for our day-to-day lives so that we live together, we work together and enjoy together, everything that we do together without any restriction of caste, creed or community,” he further thanked the religious gurus for coming and teaching about the truth and encouraged everyone to live a life of national integration.

Swami Sushil ji Maharaj began his address with the Gayatri Mantra and stated that it is a moment of pride that Father Agnel School has hosted this National Integration Programme. “Every religion encourages feelings of brotherhood, togetherness and unity. God did not give us the concept of religion, but it was the people and religious gurus who came up with this and divided the society,” he stated.

“It is also the duty of the academic institutions to inculcate moral values in the children and not only equip them academically. We all have our destinations and goals in life. But these goals do not highlight the person we should become as sometimes people lose their identity in achieving their dreams,” he added.

Simultaneously, the religious gurus present at the event further addressed the gathering about the importance of unity, brotherhood, peace and harmony. They further encouraged people to respect all the religions in the country and cohabitate peacefully without considering their diverse ethnicity.

The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Bento Rodrigues, Fr Varghese Kunnath and several religious personalities including Acharya Yog Bhushanji, Swami Sushil Ji Maharaj, Bhikkhu Sanghsena, Swami Vir Singh Hitkari, Giani Paramjeet Singh Chandhok, Prof Salim Engineer, Dr A K Merchant among others.
