Grads International School Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti, Navratri and Dussehra with Zeal and Vigour

New Delhi, 1 October 2022: The Grads International school recently celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, Navratri, and Dussehra in which children participated in many cultural programs.

 

The event began with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief guest, Aishwarya Lakshmi, BSA Gautam Buddha Nagar, and all guests of honor. After the lamp lighting ceremony, a very informative session was taken by the school chairman and renowned cardiologist, Dr. Gautam Singh.

 

At the event, students presented various cultural programs including Dandiya and Garba to celebrate Navratri and the children of Pre-primary presented a short Ramleela to celebrate Dusshera, the victory of good over evil.

 

As a tribute to the social inclusion that Mahatma Gandhi practiced and promoted all through his life and which is also the core value of Grads International School, the Cultural department of the school presented a portion of Rabindranath Tagore’s Dance Drama Chandalika which told the story of the social inclusion of an untouchable girl.

 

This program was also graced by other guests of Honor Annu Khan (social activist), Father Sebastian ex- Principal Jesus and Mary School Greater Noida, Sangeeta Mitra (in charge of Shanti home rehabilitation centre), Amitabh Gupta (engineer and social worker), Rakhi (counselor from cornerstone). On this occasion school Principal Mrs.Aditi Basu Roy thanked everyone to grace the occasion. School Director Roya Singh, and Vice -principal Malaya Paul were also present.
