Greater Noida (09/04/2022): Grads International School, ETA 2 Greater Noida in collaboration with the NGO ABHA Mission for Social Health and Education, started the Daan Utsav on Baha’i festival Aayam-i-Ha during the Intercalary Days from 25th February 2022 and ended on 9th April 2022, the auspicious Navratri Ashtami day. It was celebrated in school with fellowship, feast, gifts and acts of service. Students, teachers, parents, other staff members and some good samaritans donated a number of things like books, stationery, toys, bags, clothes, carpets and rugs, utensils, both new and good old ones, packed food items with joy and enthusiasm. Grads International School has also donated new uniforms to R. K. Usha Ji’s Apna school students.
The donated items were then distributed to charity by students of Class 5th and 8th to eminent Social Worker R. K. Usha ji’s Apna School at Kasna and at Vikas Vishranti at Delta 3, Greater Noida. Children of Grads International School taught life skills and mathematics to the students of roadside Apna School at the outer boundary wall of GIMS. Children of Grads International also recited poems and enacted stories for these not so fortunate children. The children of Apna school also participated in the program wholeheartedly. The Director of GIMS Hospital, Greater Noida, Brigadier Dr. Rakesh Gupta also joined the drive to appreciate Grads International School and to understand the needs of these neighbourhood children.
He has promised Advocate R. K. Usha, the founder and President of Vikas Vishranti Apna School, to help her in every way in this noble initiative. Grads International School Principal Aditi Basu Roy felicitated the teachers and social workers Parveen Taneja, Sunita Jaiswal, Sonia Singh, Veeravati, Susheel Kumar, Saroj Singh and Advocate R. K. Usha for their contribution in the field of education. This is an annual community outreach initiative of Grads International School to practice compassion and fellow feelings. With this activity, students of Grads learnt sharing and caring. They experienced the real joy of giving through this amazing exercise.
