On Friday, the Covid-19 scaled a new peak in Gautam Budh Nagar with 225 new cases, highest single-day spike in 2021. District Surveillance Officer Dr Sunil Dhohore said that the district has recorded 225 new cases with zero fatalities in the last 24 hours. 914 patients are currently under treatment in different hospitals, he added.
A total of 26 thousand patients have been discharged from hospital after recovering from Covid, while 93 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the district. Much like the entire country and the state of UP, the Covid infection has been on a rise in the district from last couple of days. On Wednesday, confirmed cases were 125 people, whereas on Thursday, 134 Covid cases were recorded.
