There is an oft quoted saying that you can go as far as you dream, think and imagine. The Chairman of the school, Mr. VipinSahni has made its every word come true. His earnest desire to reach out to the lesser fortunate ones resulted in the launch of the ‘Community Connect Project’ – another unique initiative envisioned by him.He, along with the Chairperson Ms. Kiran Sahni, Directors, Mr. AmanSahni, Dr. SaiyamSahni and Dr. Rohit Singh have envisaged the school as a connector, facilitating its assets – students, teachers, equipment, resources and space etc. for social well – being and elevating the quality of life of the people.
It was a power packed day dedicated to philanthropic assistance pledged by the school. The programme began with a workshop conducted by eminent educationists, Mr. John A Kerr and Ms. Beverly A Kerr, from the UKPAL Board. Respected Chairman Sir inaugurated the project amidst a multitude of people comprising of Mr. Ashok Srivastava, Mrs. Vimlesh Sharma, Wing Commander Ashish Saxena from Aakash Memorial Charitable Trust and Mr. Shiv Kumar and other eminent personalities from various NGOs, Resident Welfare Associations and the parent fraternity. Honourable Chairman in his speech emphasized that we all have to strive together with common vision, courage, perseverance and optimism.The magnanimous members of the management acknowledged and felicitated renowned people from all walks of life with ‘Citizen of Substance’ Award for their exemplary contribution towards society. It was a moment of memoir when the awardees joined hands with the school authorities to affirm their assistance in future endeavours as well.
On this special occasion Mr. Ravinder Kaul from SETU NGO, Mr.Harpreet Singh, Director Sports, Special Olympics Bharat,who has trained specially abled children for various Olympic games, associated with the school and shared a common platform to showcase the talents of the students of both the schools. Modern Kala Foundation and other NGOs also collaborated with the school to put up a vibrant cultural programme. The Principal, Ms. Jyoti Arora touched every heart with her inspiring speech and assured the management that the entire event itself will leave an imprint on the impressionable minds of the students. She promised on behalf of the school that the students will contribute towards such noble cause be it an orphanage, old age home or a literacy drive.
The programme ended with the National Anthem after which the guests proceeded for a lunch hosted by the school. The warm hospitality was appreciated by one and all. The fruitful day made people realise that it is not always your joy which is the source of your smile but sometimes others smiles candefinitely be the source of immense joy.
