Ryan International School conducts opening ceremony of CBSE North Zone 1 Skating Tournament

Ryan International School, Greater Noida is hosting CBSE North Zone 1 Skating Championship from 30th September to 2nd October ,2019.  Around 183 Schools from Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR Region with around 1800 students are participating in various categories.

The opening Ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Council Members, School Band and NCC cadets. The Council Members welcomed the guest by pinning the badge. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr B N Singh, District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, Mr Manish Agarwal, Regional Officer, CBSE, Mr D K Rathore , General Secretary UP Roller Skating Association, Mr. Rajesh Saini – Observer – CBSE.

The Championship commenced by invoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. The students welcomed the guests with a flair of languages in English, Hindi, Sanskrit and German language. Keeping up the Ryan tradition the guests were felicitated with a tender saplings and momento which was followed by a captivating, synchronized welcome dance. The ground witnessed a great fervor of sportsmen’s spirit blended with an uncanny excitement for the CBSE North Zone 1 Championship.

The Championship began with Under I9 boys and girls 300 m time trial Inline – Skating races followed by Under 16 / U/14, U/12, U/10 and U/8 and quads in same categories. The skater’s brilliance, power and breathtaking performance was a sight to behold. The students proved that ‘Roller Skating is not only a sport but also a skilled art form. The skaters outdid their own records.

Mr B N Singh, District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, Mr Manish Agarwal, Regional Officer, CBSE appreciated the efforts put in by Ryan International School and congratulated Principal Ms. Sudha Singh for promoting sports in the city of Greater Noida.  They also congratulated all the participants schools who came from Uttarakhand and other parts of Uttar Pradesh for their efforts and motivated children to involved more and more in such outdoor activities rather than involving themselves in mobiles.

The euphoria of the championship and the magnificent display of talent and skills by the young and budding skaters was awe inspiring for everyone present in the event.
