AQUAQUEST 2019 was held at Ryan International School, Greater Noida on 8th August -2019. The main objective of this science exhibition and Power point presentation was an exhibition to the initiation undertaken by the District administration on water conservation on Jal Shakti Abhiyan inspired by our honourable Prime Minister’s impetus on Jal Sanchay – which is a time bound mission mode, water conservation campaign to revive India back to a sustained system to water conservation and efficient irrigation.
The day was graced with the presence of eminent guests Sri Anand Srinet, City Magistrate, Greater Noida, Mr. Prateep Gupta, Founder & CEO of Terasol Technologies, Greater Noida, Mr. Vinod K Rai Director and chief operating officer with Revayer System PVT. Ltd, Mr Raghu Ramakrishnan, Principal Consultant with Tata Consultancy Services and Mr. Bholendra Pratap Singh and academic head IIT wing, Aakash Institute. The opening ceremony highlighted the objectives of the Aquaguest which was followed by invoking Lord Almighty ‘s blessings, special prayer and felicitation. The Nukkad Natak “Jal Hai to Kal Hai” explicitly gave the message of the need to conserve water whereas a rhythmic dance performance reflected that “water is the lifeline of our lives”. Keeping intact the vision of the school Chairman in caring for the environment, tree plantation by the guests dignitaries was initiated.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sri. Anand Srinet, City magistrate by cutting the ribbon. The Exhibition projects were based on the Village waste water solution, Waste water management and prevention, Ground water conservation, Restoring wetlands, Surface water management strategies, Industrial waste water and sewage treatment, Artificial intelligence, Energy resources and conservation, Water purification and treatment science, Water supply and water management, Combating drought, Technology to improve modern lifestyle.
The Power Point Presentation was based on the Sustainable desalination, Energy efficient water and waste water management, Industrial waste water and sewage treatment, Solar and algal based water technologies, Sustainable development , Storm water, green infrastructure and wet weather management, Contaminants of emerging concerns: Antibiotic resistance, microbiological hazards, nano-pollutants, Enforcement of laws and regulations for water conservation, Circular economy: Recovery of water, energy and nutrients.
The participants were divided with 3 groups- Group A- 6,7,8, Group B – 9,10 , Group C – 11,12. Around 100 students of 11 different schools participate from Delhi NCR.
