‘Myriad Manifestations-2019’ – The English Language Festival was organised by Delhi Public School, Greater Noida on 14 May 2019. This festival was the culmination of a fortnight of flurry and excitement, with students from classes II to XII participating in activities such as Spell Bee, Calligraphy, Poetry/Essay Writing, Poem Recitation, Character Enactment etc. Nearly fifteen teams from prestigious schools across Delhi/NCR participated in the same.
‘Argy Bargy’ – the verbal combat, an extempore the debate had a unique concept where each team deliberated upon different issues of topical relevance like Impact of Nuclear Families, Efficiency of Digital Transaction and Joining the Armed Forces as a Sign of Patriotism to name a few. Shree Gopal of class XI of DPS Greater Noida bagged the II position to speak against the motion in Argy Bargy, on the Spot Debate Competition.
The panel of judges comprised eminent English language experts from reputed universities in the NCR. Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Renu Chaturvedi said that such events instil in the children, love for the language and develop confidence in them to use the language with conviction.
The Festival came to an end with an impressive Valedictory Ceremony wherein the best performances were awarded with trophies, prizes and certificates.
