The Department of Applied Science and Humanities (ASH) celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22 nd December, 2018 to commemorate the 131 st birth anniversary of the renowned mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. His contribution to different fields and branches of mathematics is highly remarkable.
The event was celebrated by paying a befitting tribute to the Mathematics wizard amidst floral presentation by the students and faculty members. To raise awareness and interest in this calculative subject, students as well as faculty members participated in Mathematics quiz competition organised by the Department.
The winners were also felicitated by a trophy and a certificate. Overall, the event was a highly successful one that ended on a very pleasing note with a promise to have more such events in future.
