The School of Management Studies organized a Staff Development Programme (SDP) session for all the staff members of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, on Saturday, July 8, 2023. It was a one long day Training session on “Emotional Intelligence and Interpersonal Effectiveness’’ by Dr. Sunita Shukla. The session was moderated by Prof. Shalu Tyagi and welcome address was presented by Head of the Department, Prof. (Dr.) Akhilesh Mishra. Followed by vote of thanks for organizers, and the participants for making the event a grand success.
Professor in Management & Director of Admission and Marketing, Dr. Sunita Shukla graced the Training Session with her presence and valuable session. Prof. Shukla emphasized on the importance and development of emotional quotient in one’s life, and its potential significance in one’s working life too. Considering the volatile nature of today’s world, development of interpersonal effectiveness and emotional intelligence becomes primarily important, as one pre-condition for personal effectiveness is having a higher emotional intelligence. The session enlightened the participants about different ways of improving the emotional intelligence in a positive manner by building self- awareness, self- regulation, self- motivation, and having empathy for others. This ability to empathize facilitates better personal and professional relationships, hence resulting in interpersonal effectiveness.
