Greater Noida (20th November 2022): The idiom “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” holds true even for the young learners. Playing sports, whether team-based or individual, is essential for children as they provide not just physical activity, but also help build children’s self-esteem, confidence, social skills and motivate them to excel in life.
Spardha Annual Sports Day was organised on the School’s playground , which was overflowing with zeal, passion and excitement.
Chief Guest of the event was Naven Kumar Singh, OSD , Greater NOIDA Authority , the other guests to grace the occasion wereGajanan Mali, Founder of Ten News Network and Miss Manju Kaul Raina , Principal Greater Noida World School was cordially welcomed by the esteemed Management and Principal Anju Puri .
The sports meet commenced with the torch lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest, Chairman Holy Group Of Schools Mr Sanjay Tomar & Principal Ms Anju Puri. The principal’s address expressed the endeavors to reach the vision of the school. The cultural programmes included drills and dance with the use of props like Hula hoops, balls and ribbons.
The crowning glory of the whole event was the few track events that were very nostalgic. The students displayed a wide array of energy through Yoga and Karate. They mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances. The children participated whole-heartedly in the races like “Bride Groom Race, Ball in the Cone, 50m Race, 100m Race, Coobodle Race, Balancing Race, Hurdle Race, 3 Legged Race etc.,
The aim of this event was to encourage fitness and help all citizens to get freedom from obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc.
The proud parents could be seen filled with happiness to see their child. The National Anthem sung at the end, left the audience with the spirit of Nationality, integrity and harmony.
