Annual Sports Day for Secondary wing was celebrated at Ryan International School, Greater Noida with a spirit of fervor and zest. The occasion was graced by the eminent guests Mr. Abhinav Chaudhary, International Shooter, Mr. Sanjay Bali, Representative Member of Parliament, Gautam Budh Nagar. The celebration of the day started with invoking Lord Almighty’s blessings and singing praise and worship songs. The solemn ceremony of Flag hoisting and releasing of the balloon was conducted by the guests. The spirit of true sportsmanship was revealed with lighting of the torch by the Sports Minister, Akshay Chauhan.The March Past was immaculately conducted by the contingents of the four houses i.e Aryabhatta House with its Captain Ratnakar Jain and Vice Captain Harshit Gajjar, Einstein House with its Captain Yajurved and Vice Captain Arshash Dogra, Newton House with its Captain Sachin Bhatio and Vice Captain Sachin Bhati and Raman House with its Captain Harshita Khurana Prasad and Vice Captain Harshit Rai headed by the core Council and NCC Cadets. The participants took the oath administered by the President of the Student Council, Adit Jain, wherein, they pledged to play in a fair and just spirit. The core events were a variety of field and track events wherein students from category under 12 to 18 showcased their dexterity, agility and strength. Relay Race, Trial and Triumphs Tyre Race, Hurdle Race, Javelin Throw, Pyramids, Shot Put, Sack Race, Obstacle Race, were a delight for one and all but the 100 meter and 4×100 meter Relay Race kept the spirit of healthy competition alive.
The guest in his address emphasized that exercise should be an integral part of fitness regime – sports being one of its medium. Sports could be great fun was conveyed through power packed performance of Martial Art -Taekwondo and rhythmic display of Aerobics and Lezium on foot tapping numbers. The most trilling moment was the declaration of Best Athlete for girls which was bagged by Palak Singh and boys was bagged by Aryan Nagar. The Best Marching Contingent went to Newton House and the overall trophy for the Best House was won by Aryabhatta House. The sports day concluded with the declaration of the meet being closed by the guest followed by the vote of thanks and National Anthem. It was indeed a day to go down the memory lane.
