In a letter to Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate, Rtn. Ajay Kumar Gupta – Social Entrepreneur & Advocate, Supreme Court suggested that the administration should impose a curfew and close everything for 4 weeks, instead of spending entire energy on containment zones.
“During these 4 weeks we must screen everyone like flash sale or flash floods, so that we know what is the exact case load and stratify them / do triaging of cases.”
Gupta said that that the administration should Plan:
> Day 1-14 for Testing
> Day 15-28 isolation / quarantine
“Lockdown should be utilised for extensive testing and stratified treatment programme.”
To meet the needs of
> Healthcare professionals – Government should roll out new vacancies for adhoc/ permanent jobs.
> Health Check-up camps and campaign – Engage social organisations like Rotary/ Lion/ Bharat Vikas Parishad & registered NGOs with desired support to them.
> Reservation for voluntaries in Govt. Jobs in future can be an attractive offer for persons / professional
