10- day Induction of PGDM & MBA begins at Lloyd Business School

The orientation and induction programme was an extravagant affair at Lloyd Business School inclusive of ice-breaking sessions, corporate visits and introductory managerial skill-sessions to prime and prepare them for the higher education in management studies. Students come with diverse thoughts, backgrounds & perceptions. Hence it becomes important to help them adjust to the new environment & inculcate the ethos of the institution with a sense of larger purpose. Lloyd Business School has organized a ten days induction programme of its PGDM- Business Analytics , Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, MBA and BBA with an objective to provide ample of time and a platform for the transition of students from school to Management Education. The induction programme organized at Lloyd is a harbinger of various in-campus & off-campus activities specially designed for students to fill the gap.

The induction programme equipped students not only with the boost to their educational pursuits but also with the work-culture, industrial exposure, social experiences, and various institutional activities.
According to Group Director, Prof. Vandana Sethi, “the objective of the 10- day long process of induction is to make the students feel comfortable in their new environment, set a healthy daily routine, create bonding in the batch as well as between faculty and students, develop awareness, sensitivity and understanding of the management role that would be expected of them. The time during the Induction Program is also used to rectify some critical lacunas and sensitize them towards exploring their academic interest and activities, team building and exposure to the corporate world. The students are our institute’s first and last priority and we shall be the guiding force to take them to sky-rocketing heights, it’s a promise”, she said.
Lloyd organized TECH- CEPTION – Orientation Series of Business Analytics and GENESIS 2019 – Orientation series of PGDM-SCM/HR, MBA and BBA for 300+ students opened their wings for a post-graduate management education with their great enthusiasm.

The Inaugural Ceremony was chaired by academic visionary, Mr. Manohar Thirani, President, Lloyd along with Dr. Vandana Arora, Group Director, Lloyd Group of Institutions who quoted cases of the recent Café Coffee Day’s chairman’s tragic death, because of stress owing to business and how our education system should focus not only on academic excellence but overall grooming of the future managers. Corporate readiness, focus and smart hard work is the mantra to success.

The corporate sessions were taken by Senior management from companies like TCS, IBM and YesBank.
IBM expert, Mr. Gagan Agarwal, delivered a enriching session on Data Analytics and IBM’s evolution through the years. Session on ‘Digital Marketing using Google Analytics’ by Dr. Anju Gulla, Senior Resource BIZTAT, An insight into future by Mr. Shivam Bhardwaj, Senior SME from Rawmind & To the New (Corporates from Analytics), Session on “Wellness and Happiness: Mantra for Self-evolution, Senior SME, Session on ‘Digitisation & Corporate Strategies’ by Mr. Sushil Chandra, TCS Subject Matter Expert , Some Intellectual Sessions by Safeducate SME and Manpower SME – SCM – The backbone of business was delivered by Mr. Sanish Mathew & Mr. Subhoraj Das and Bringing the “H” back in HR by Mr. Vikrant Singh.

The induction was inclusive of recreational activities involving a daily routine of physical activity with games, outbound activity. Students participated in the event with full enthusiasm and were rewarded with various categories of award such as Best Leader and Best Team Player.

A visit to IBM was insightful for students of Business Analytics and Data Science. Lloyd is the only institute in Greater Noida which is taking strides in this field of Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with industry-giant, IBM.
