One week Short term training program organized in Gautam Buddha University

One week Short Term Training programme on “Application of Techniques/Tools in Engineering (with Hands on Practice)” is being organized in Gautam Buddha University by School of Engineering and School of Vocational Studies and Applied Sciences starting from 25th -30th March 2019.

Dr. Nidhi Singh Pal and Dr. Dipti Singh are the coordinators of the event. The inauguration ceremony of this STTP was conducted on 25th March 2019 and started with lightning of lamp and flowering to Lord Buddha by various dignitaries.

Prof R. K. Khandal, President R&D and Business Development India Glycos and Ex-Vice Chancellor of AKTU and Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Scientist E, DST, New Delhi graced the occasion as guest of Honour.

Prof. R.K. Khandal emphasized on the interdisciplinary research and utilization of waste material to meet out the future demand of energy. He also encouraged the students for industrial training and also on utilization of engineering techniques/Tools for the development of technology. He explained utilization of techniques/tools with the example of sugarcane waste and cow dung.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh highlighted various funding schemes of DST to academic institutes.

Bachchu Singh, Registrar of the Gautam Buddha University also graced the occasion and motivated the participants for academic activities.

Dean SOE, Dr. Indu Uprety welcomed all the participant and delegates of the event.

The STTP coordinators Dr. Nidhi Singh Pal and Dr. Dipti Singh briefed about the event and its applications in engineering and other associated areas. They also introduced the Guest of Honour.

In this STTP, more than 50 participants registered from various parts of India like Jammu, Surat, Dehradun, Lucknow, ISM Dhanbad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida.

This is the second STTP in continuation to the first STTP organized in 2017. In this STTP various techniques/tools in engineering will be covered based on Matlab and SPSS software along with the hands on practice session.

The function was concluded by Prof. N.P Melkania dean SOVSAS, with vote of thanks and National Anthem.
